Sardinia is a popular summer holiday destination, and well connected to the rest of Europe and Italy via regular and budget flights.

Flying from London to Sardinia and vice versa isn’t difficult: there are plenty of flights from London to Sardinia and viceversa, to each of the three airports in the region.

You have the option of either booking a nice direct fly and be sure to reach the island almost every day of the week; or look for non-direct flights, but the connections can sometimes be less than comfortable and require long waits and aren’t the best option also in terms of money.

Before I share some information about the three main Sardinian airports and the best flights from London to Sardinia, let me highlight what you can expect when flying from London to Sardinia.

Flying From London To Sardinia

As I lived in the outskirts of London for 8 long years, I know a great deal about flying from London to Sardinia – I lost count of how many flights I took in that time. Sure enough I flew from each and every airport, at times finding incredible deals, and others having to pay way more than one should for such a short flight.

How long are flights from London to Sardinia?

Flying from London to Sardinia takes roughly 2.5 hours – I guess it changes a bit depending on the wind. It’s a fairly quick flight – long enough for you to read a book, watch a movie or a show on Netflix, or even take a nap; but not quite so long that you get unbearably bored.

How much do flights to Sardinia from London cost?

Prices of flights to Sardinia from London vary depending on the season and on the carrier, and on the various add-ons.

Direct flights with budget airlines such as Ryanair or Easyjet can cost you a few Pounds or Euro if you fly off season, travel carry-on only and book well in advance.

Add luggage and fly during peak season, however, and it will be significantly more expensive – though you will have a much better choice in terms of flights, too!

The key to finding a cheap flight – from London to Sardinia, or anywhere else in the world – is to be as flexible as possible with the dates, and to curb your luggage. The lighter you fly, the cheaper it will be!
